Before you start
⚠️ A few things to know before you start
|
When to use this?
- Getting a straightforward event live fast — if you have a simple event (a name, a venue, a few ticket types, a schedule) and want to publish without extra steps, Quick Setup gets a complete draft ready in one sitting. For example, a small venue launching a one-off weekend event can go from idea to a submitted draft in minutes.
- Getting expert eyes on your listing before it goes live — you build the event foundation yourself, and Fever's team still reviews the copy, images, pricing, and setup before your event goes live, so you don't trade speed for a listing that converts.
Steps
Step 1. Open the Quick Setup wizard
In FeverZone, go to Events > Event list, then click Create event. A modal opens with three options: Quick setup, Advanced setup, and Duplicate event. Click Quick setup.
The Create event modal, with Quick setup selected.
Step 2. Add your event content
- Event name — keep it under 65 characters. Include the event name and location, and add a key selling point only if you have room.
- Event category — select the closest match, such as Music or Exhibition.
- Event description — write one or paste one in. You can complete it now or save your draft and finish it later.
- Event gallery — upload at least one cover image. Three or more images perform better. Avoid collages, screenshots, or low-quality media.
- Venue — enter your venue and select it from the search results. If you can't find your venue, use the Contact Partner Support link.
- Click Next.
Step 1. Content — event name, category, description, gallery, and location.
Step 3. Set up your inventory
- Max. capacity — enter your venue's total capacity: the maximum number of people allowed at your venue per time slot.
- Tickets — under General Admission, add each ticket type. Enter a Name (for example, “Adult general”), select a Product type (this determines the tax applied to that ticket), and set a Price and Max. capacity. Click + Add ticket for more ticket types. All prices you enter here are pre-tax — you can adjust tax handling later in the full dashboard.
- Add-ons (optional) — add merchandise or food & beverage items using + Add add-on.
⚠️ Warning Quick Setup creates one ticket capacity group only (General Admission), with a flat capacity structure. If you need multiple capacity groups, a VIP allocation, or other overrides, add these after your draft is saved, in the Inventory module of the full dashboard. |
- Click Next.
Step 2. Inventory — venue capacity, ticket types, and optional add-ons.
Step 4. Set your schedule
- Single dates or Recurring dates — choose Single dates if your event runs on specific days, or Recurring dates if it repeats on a regular pattern. For recurring dates, set a start date, end date, and select which days of the week the event runs. Add Excluded dates for any days the event skips, like public holidays.
- Single time slots or Recurring time slots — enter your event times. For recurring time slots, also set how often they repeat and how long each one lasts.
ℹ️ Tip You can build more complex schedules after your draft is created. |
- Click Next.
Step 3. Schedule — single dates.
Step 3. Schedule — recurring dates.
Step 5. Review your event and confirm the draft
Check the summary at the top: your event name, venue, dates, time slots, and a breakdown of each ticket type with its price and capacity.
Below the summary, review the Default settings table. Quick Setup applies these automatically — see the field reference table below for what each one means.
⚠️ Warning Review these defaults in Event Settings before you submit for review. The default validation method is In-app, the default sales window opens on your event's publication date and closes at its start time, and the default tax setting is Included. |
Click Confirm draft.
Review your event, with the Default settings summary.
Step 6. Submit your event for review
After you confirm the draft, you land on the event dashboard. Content, Settings, and Inventory all show as Completed. From here, you can edit any section before publishing.
Click Submit for review, and Fever's team will review your event before it goes live. The review works the same way it does for events created with Advanced Setup.
