What it does: Build your event's schedule by defining the dates, time slots, capacity templates, sales windows, and any exceptions — then generate your tickets.
Where to find it: Events > Inventory > Schedule
Use this when you need to create the time slots for your event and define when tickets go on sale.
Before you start
Prerequisites:
- You've created your products in the Ticket Types tab.
- You've set up at least the Base Capacity Template in the Capacity tab.
- Have your event dates, opening hours, and any closure days ready before you begin.
What does this do?
The Schedule tab is where you create the actual time slots that customers will book. Every event needs at least one schedule with at least one time slot before tickets can exist.
A schedule brings together everything you've set up so far — your products and their capacity templates — and places them on a calendar. You'll define which dates and times your event runs, when tickets go on sale, and any exceptions like closures or special hours.
Step 1: Start a new schedule
- In the Schedule tab, click + Add schedule.
- Enter a Name for your schedule. Use a name that helps you identify it later. For example: "Regular schedule," "Summer hours," or "Christmas special."
Step 2: Add products to the schedule
- Click Add products to select which products will be sold with this schedule.
- In the panel that opens, first choose a Capacity template to use with your products. This template becomes the default capacity for every time slot in this schedule. You can pick any template you've created in the Capacity tab, including the Base Capacity Template or a custom one such as "Summer season."
💡 Tip: Choose the template that reflects your most common capacity setup. For example, if your venue runs at standard capacity most of the year, pick your Base Capacity Template here. If this schedule is specifically for a peak period like summer, pick your Summer template instead. You can still override this default for individual time slots in Step 5.
-
Select the products you want to include by checking the boxes next to each one. You'll see the maximum quantity from your selected capacity template next to each product.
⚠️ Important: Products that don't have a capacity set in the selected template will be skipped and won't be created with this schedule. Make sure every product you want to sell has capacity assigned in the template you choose.
- Click Save to confirm your selection. Your selected products now appear as tags below the "Which products should this schedule include?" section.
Step 3: Set your event dates
-
Under When does this schedule apply?, choose your date type:
- Recurring dates — for events that run over multiple days or weeks. You set a start and end date, and the schedule repeats across that range. For example, an exhibition running from March 10, 2026 through March 9, 2027, or a theme park open year-round.
- Single dates — for events on specific individual dates. You add each date manually. For example, a concert on Friday March 27, Saturday March 28, and Sunday March 29.
-
Set your dates:
- For recurring dates: Enter the Start date and End date.
- For single dates: Click to add each specific date.
Step 4: Set your time slots
-
Under Time slot recurrency, choose your time slot type:
- Recurring time slots — the same pattern of time slots repeats across your dates. For example, a venue open from 10 AM to 5 PM every day with entries every 30 minutes.
- Single time slots — one specific time slot per date. For example, a concert that starts at 8 PM.
-
Configure your time slots:
- First time slot: The start time of your first slot each day. For example, 10:00 AM.
- Repeats every: How often a new time slot starts, in minutes. For example, every 30 minutes.
- Last time slot: The start time of your last slot each day. For example, 4:00 PM (so the last entry is at 4 PM).
- Duration (min): How long each time slot lasts, in minutes. For example, 60 minutes for a one-hour visit, or 120 minutes for a two-hour show.
Example: First time slot at 10:00 AM, repeats every 30 minutes, last time slot at 4:00 PM, duration of 90 minutes. This creates time slots at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, and so on until 4:00 PM, each allowing a 90-minute visit.
Step 5: Assign capacity templates to time slots (optional)
Once your dates and time slots are configured, a calendar grid appears showing every time slot across your date range. By default, every time slot uses your Base Capacity Template.
- If you want all time slots to use your default capacity template, you can skip this step.
- To assign different capacity templates to specific time slots, turn on the Capacity templates toggle above the calendar. A capacity template dropdown now appears under each time slot in the grid.
- For each time slot you want to change, select a different capacity template from the dropdown. The options are all the templates you created in the Capacity tab. For example, if you chose Base Capacity Template as your default in Step 2, you can override weekend time slots to use a Peak template so weekends accommodate more visitors.
- For each time slot, you'll also see a demand tier dropdown with the options Normal, Peak, Valley, or Closed.
💡 Drag and drop a cell to copy paste a tier to many time slots at once.
💡 Demand tiers don't change the capacity. They map to price lists, which you'll set up in the next step. For example, you can map time slots tagged "Peak" to use the Peak price list once you create one. Capacity is controlled only by the capacity template you assign. Set the demand tier that reflects expected demand for each time slot. For example, set weekday time slots to "Normal" and weekend time slots to "Peak" so each gets the matching pricing later.
- To close your venue on a specific day or time slot, set the demand tier to Closed. No tickets are created for time slots marked as Closed.
Step 6: Set your sales window
The sales window controls when tickets become available for purchase and when sales close.
-
Under When are tickets on sale?, configure the Sales start time:
- Relative to — tickets go on sale a set amount of time before the event starts. For example, 60 days before the event starts. This is the most common option for recurring events.
- Since creation — tickets go on sale immediately when you create them. Useful when you want to start selling right away.
-
Configure the Sales end time:
- Relative to — sales close a set amount of time before the event starts or ends. For example, 30 minutes before the event starts — so customers can't buy tickets for a time slot that's already begun.
Example: You might start sales 8 weeks before each time slot and stop sales 30 minutes before the slot starts. This way, each day's tickets automatically become available about two months ahead and close just before entry time.
Step 7: Add exceptions (optional)
Exceptions let you override your schedule on specific dates — for closures, holidays, or special hours.
- Under Are there any exceptions to this schedule?, click Add exception.
- Give your exception a Name for identification. For example, "Christmas closure" or "Extended holiday hours."
- Select the specific date(s) this exception applies to.
-
Configure the exception:
- To close on a specific day, leave the time slots empty or set them to "Closed."
- To change the schedule, set different time slots or apply a different capacity template for those dates.
- To change which products are available, select or deselect products for this exception. For example, you might add a special holiday product or remove a product that isn't available on that day.
- Example: Your venue is closed on December 25. Create an exception called "Christmas closure," select December 25, and leave it closed. Or, for New Year's Eve, create an exception with shortened hours (10 AM–2 PM) and apply your Peak capacity template.
Note: Exceptions only work within the date range of your schedule. You can create multiple exceptions for different dates or scenarios.
Step 8: Create your tickets
- Once everything is configured, click Create tickets at the bottom of the page.
-
A confirmation dialog appears asking whether you want these tickets to be Visible or Hidden:
- Visible — tickets will be available to customers as soon as your event is published.
- Hidden — tickets are created but will appear as sold out to customers. You can make them visible later once you're ready. This is useful if you need an internal review before going live.
-
Click Create tickets to generate all your time slots and tickets.
⚠️ Important: This action cannot be undone. Once tickets are created, the schedule's core settings (dates, time slot structure) are locked. You can still extend the schedule by adding new dates, but you can't delete or restructure existing time slots.
- Your schedule now appears on the Schedule tab. You can review its settings or create additional schedules if needed.
💡 Tip: If you need different schedules for different parts of your event — for example, regular hours and a special holiday schedule — create separate schedules. Just make sure their dates don't overlap. Use exceptions within a single schedule for day-by-day adjustments.
What's next?
Click Next to move to the Pricing tab. Your event will already have a base price list using the prices you set when creating your products. From there, you can create additional price lists for different channels, time slots, or seasons. See How to create a price list for details.
