When a customer selects a seat during checkout but doesn’t complete the purchase, that seat is temporarily held and unavailable to other buyers. Some customers hold seats for too long without proceeding. Use this feature to release those seats so other customers can purchase them.
- Click Manage seating > Make held seats sellable again.
- The Temp. Holds tab opens. Temporarily held seats appear on the map. Click on a held seat to see its details (section, row, seat number, and current status).
- Select the held seats you want to release, then click Apply changes.
| ⚠️ What happens to the customer? When you release a held seat, it’ll result in a failed cart. The customer who was holding it will need to re-select a seat on the seat selection screen.Their checkout session is not canceled — they simply lose the specific seat hold and must choose again. |
