The Seating tab lets you manage seats across your event — block, unblock, reassign, change categories, control channel availability, release held seats, and download seating reports. Use this when you need to control which seats are on sale, redistribute seating assignments between categories (such as making a VIP seat a General Admission one), reserve seats for specific sales channels, release seats that customers are holding at the selection screen, reassign customers to different seats, or export a seating report for planning]
When to use this?
- Blocking seats for press or production - You need to reserve the first two rows for cameras and media. Use Manage seats on sale to take those seats off sale so no customer can purchase them.
- Redistributing seating inventory to match demand - Your General Admission tickets are selling fast but VIP is slow. Use Manage seat categories to move VIP seats into General Admission and capture the demand. The price updates automatically.
- Reserving seats for important guests - You want the front row available only for important guests via invitation. Use Assign seats to channels to restrict those seats to the Invitation channel.
- Releasing seats stuck in checkout - A customer selected seats but never completed the purchase, blocking those seats for others. Use Temp. Holds to release those seats so other customers can buy them.
- Moving customers to different seats - A guest wants to change their seat. You can use Reassign seats to move them to a different seat without canceling their ticket or charging them again.
- Exporting a seating overview - You want a full picture of every seat, its category, and status for planning or pricing. Use Generate Seating Report to get a CSV delivered to your email.
Follow these steps to navigate to the Seating tab:
- In FeverZone, go to Events and select your event.
- Click Schedule & Tickets in the left menu.
- Click the Seating tab.
- Select a Date and Time slot to view the seating data for that specific time slot.
List view and seating dashboard
The Seating tab opens in list view by default. This is the first thing you see when you land on the tab. It shows your ticket type sections or categories in a table with key metrics at a glance.
| Column | What it shows | Example |
| Issued | Number of tickets sold for these seats | 20 |
| Temp. held | Seats currently held by customers in checkout who haven’t completed their purchase yet | 0 |
| Available | Seats still available for purchase | 14,550 |
| Not for sale | Seats you have blocked from being sold | 6 |
| Capacity | Total seat count for this section or category | 14,576 |
| Sellable occ. | Percentage of sellable seats that are sold | 0.1% |
| Total occ. | Percentage of all seats (including blocked) that are sold | 0.1% |
Switch between list view and map view
To switch to map view, click the seat icon in the top-right corner (next to the Filters button). Map view displays the interactive seating chart where you can select and manage individual seats.
To switch back to list view, click the list icon next to the seat icon.
| Tip: You can also enter map view by clicking any option in the Manage seating dropdown. Each option takes you directly to the relevant tab in map view (e.g., Manage seats on sale opens the For sale tab). |
